Terms of Service for Spring Lake Fence Pros

1. Scope of Services

Spring Lake Fence Pros (the “Company”) provides residential and commercial fencing installation, repair, and maintenance. All services are governed by the specific project contract/estimate provided to the client.

2. Estimates and Proposals

  • Validity: Estimates are valid for 15 days from the date of issuance due to fluctuating material costs.

  • Accuracy: Estimates are based on visible ground conditions. Any unforeseen underground obstructions (e.g., rock, buried debris, or unmapped utilities) may result in additional labor or equipment charges.

3. Property Lines and Permits

  • Property Markers: It is the Customer’s responsibility to clearly identify property lines. The Company is not liable for fences installed on neighboring property if based on incorrect markers provided by the Customer.

  • Permit Procurement: The company will apply for and obtain all necessary local building permits required for the project. The Customer agrees to provide any required signatures, site plans, or property surveys necessary for the application process.

  • HOA Coordination: The Company will assist the Customer by providing necessary documentation (e.g., fence specifications, materials, and photos) for Homeowners Association (HOA) approval. While we handle the submission, the Customer remains responsible for any specific HOA application fees.

  • Approval Responsibility: The Company is not responsible for delays caused by local government processing times or HOA board meeting schedules. Work will not commence until all required approvals are received in writing.

4. Utilities and Underground Hazards

  • Public Utilities: The Company will contact “NC 811” to mark public utility lines.

  • Private Lines: The Company is not responsible for damage to private, unmapped underground lines (e.g., sprinkler systems, pool heaters, landscape lighting, or private electrical lines) unless their exact location was disclosed in writing prior to digging.

5. Payment Terms

  • Deposits: A deposit of 50% is required to secure a spot on the schedule and order materials.

  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the project.

  • Late Fees: Late payments may be subject to a fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

6. Scheduling and Weather

Fencing is an outdoor trade. While we strive to meet all deadlines, the Company is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Severe weather (rain, hurricanes, extreme heat).

  • Supply chain shortages.

  • Delayed permit approvals.

7. Warranty and Workmanship

We take pride in our work.

  • Workmanship: We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty on labor and installation.

  • Materials: Warranties on materials (wood, vinyl, chain link) are provided by the manufacturer, not Spring Lake Fence Pros. Note: Wood is a natural product; minor warping, checking, or shrinking is normal and not a defect.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by North Carolina law, Spring Lake Fence Pros shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

8. Messaging Policy

By providing your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Spring Lake Fence Pros regarding your project, including appointment reminders, status updates, and strictly business-related communications.

  • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your project stage.

  • Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to our number.
